 VENUS: The Victoria Experimental Network Under the Sea
 - A network of instruments in the ocean to observe the marine waters around southern Vancouver Island in Saanich Inlet and the Strait of Georgia. Measurements, images, and sound will be delivered to scientists, managers, the public, and a data archive via fibre-optic cables laid from two landfall sites.- Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services
